Yoga

- 20 July 2008
Yoga with Natalie will build fitness, aid weight loss, increase
flexibility, stamina and confidence, in addition to uniting the
body and mind, and promoting a sense of calm; the perfect antidote
to today's modern lifestyles. Natalie is a friendly, enthusiastic
teacher and her down-to-earth approach ensures you get the most
from yoga. She teaches at all levels, from complete beginners through
to advanced students.
Yoga - Relax, restore and rejuvenate in beautiful
surroundings. A yoga retreat lets you experience a yogic life, deepening
your practice in a way classes cannot. Find time and space for your
yoga practice, meet like-minded people, laze under the Andalucian
sun, take a dip in the pool, enjoy delicious wholesome vegetarian
food twice daily; feed your body and soul in this amazing retreat.
Retreats offer the space and tranquillity to deepen your practice
or to develop experience and confidence to attend classes in the
UK.
There will be a led ashtanga class from 8-10am, and a dynamic flow
/ workshop class from 5.30 – 7pm each day. The afternoon class
will focus on different aspects of yoga for example, standing postures,
inversions, restorative, partner, meditation or vinyasa / jump-throughs
and there will be time for questions.
This retreat is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioner. Beginners
should have some yoga experience and be relatively fit. I will challenge
everyone to seek their own personal edge.
There will be a free afternoon and morning (usually Thursday) to
allow for excursions.
Location:
The centre is a stunningly restored water mill set in the mountains
of Andalucia one hours' drive from Malaga, or 45 minutes from Marbella.
The hamlet of Jorox is in a fertile green valley, surrounded by
sweet-smelling orange groves in the Nature Reserve "Sierra
de las Nieves", and is only 50 min. from the tourist resorts
of the Costa del Sol and the magical city of Ronda. Locals encourage
you to pick the oranges, but only if you eat them right away!
It is an excellent area for hiking, and immersing oneself in the
ambience of unspoiled rural Spain. The centre has been lovingly
converted and maintained by it's owners.
The centre is interwoven with moorish water channels, offering
bathing facilities whilst surrounded by the wonderful fragrance
of mountain flowers, and the sound of running water.
There is a stunning swimming pool built into the rockface, a spacious
yoga studio with a wooden floor, skylights and full-length windows
with beautiful views, as well as cosy and serene meditation caves
set into the mountainside, a sun lounge area, a sauna, a dedicated
massage room, a chill out area overlooking the valley and even a
waterfall! The studio is fully equipped with yoga mats, block, and
blankets.
Accommodation
and Food:
The individually decorated, comfortable twin rooms all have en-suite
bathrooms and balconies, most overlooking the 'Sierra de Las Nieves'
in Andalucia.
All rooms have been painted with a brand new "magical"
invisible paint by a local artist. During the day you see nothing,
but when it gets dark the ceilings become full of stars and galaxies.
It is the latest development in glowing paint, and is totally non-toxic.
There are also two rooms in the grounds that share their bathroom
facilities. They are very spacious and ideal if you want to come
in a group of four and have your own area.
Most people come either with friends or we can pair you up to share
rooms. This is an ideal way to connect with others if you are travelling
alone. There is a single occupancy charge if you do not want to
share, although we encourage you to do so.
Two generous vegetarian meals are provided per day at 10.30am,
and 7pm. Leftovers from the evening before are left out should anyone
get peckish in the afternoons, although this isn't usually a problem!
Meals are served either in the indoor dining room or the outdoor
outdoor terrace. Wine is available to purchase within the restaurant.
Please note that we cannot cater for specific dietary requirements,
but as there is a buffet there will be a wide choice to suit most
requirements (I'm coeliac, and manage just fine).
Price:
£595 sharing or £725 single occupancy
£150 deposit payable by cheque will secure your space and
the balance is payable by 30th June 2008
Price includes:
7 nights accommodation, yoga and two meals a day

make sure you have arranged suitable travel insurance as we cannot
be held responsible for any loss during your travel or stay.
